Pilbara Ports Authority has donated 141 pieces of used information technology (IT) equipment, including laptops, desktops and monitors, to organisations across the Pilbara.
The equipment was made available due to recent IT upgrades across Pilbara Ports Authority’s Perth and Pilbara offices. Instead of disposing of the equipment, Pilbara Ports Authority used the opportunity to support the Pilbara community.
“Most of the equipment went to the South Hedland Senior High School and volunteer groups around the Pilbara,” Pilbara Ports Authority CEO Roger Johnston said.
“Our teams worked hard to make sure all the equipment was in good condition when it arrived, so that organisation can use it for years to come,” Mr Johnston said.
The Pilbara recipients of the IT equipment donations are;
CTI Logistics provided the freight from Perth to the Pilbara at a significantly discounted rate.
“I’d also like to thank CTI Logistics for transporting the IT equipment from Perth at a discounted cost,” Mr Johnston said.
