Pilbara Ports designs it's Youth Training Programs using the framework below.

Step 1: Identify opportunities

Identify training opportunities that encourage youth development

Step 2: Identify internal supports

Identify and train the internal supports, mentors and supervisors in principles of youth training

Step 3: Attract and select

Develop attraction and selection methods suitable for identifying potential to achieve, rather than demonstrated experience

Step 4: Develop and mentor

Develop youth through formal and informal training. Encourage development, learning and active participation through meaningful work contributions and support

Step 5: Encourage future opportunities

Support and encourage development conversations and help to identify future opportunities post program completion
