A long-term partnership has been approved with Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation (MAC), with a commitment of $200,000 over two years to construct MAC's new Ranger Shed.
The funding is in addition to an existing commitment from the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation.
It will help pay for the power, water, and wastewater treatment associated with the shed and a dedicated washdown bay.
Pilbara Ports also supports and collaborates with MAC on other projects including mangrove rehabilition, supplying suitable, locally native seedlings to MAC for tree planting and assisting MAC rangers to accumulate sea time towards their Coxswain ticket by participating in Pilbara Ports mooring inspections.
